I am trying to develop indicators for Winter Service that will allow us in the Borders to compare expenditure and performance year on year, at the same time taking into account weather conditions that have prevailed. I would like to be able to use these indicators to:
a) justify winter service expenditure for the past year
b) attempt to...

Does anyone use the type of "early warning system" such as Frontworks APS for informing stakeholders of incidents such as planned or emergency road closures?

 

If so, I would be interested in your experiences!

Hi Alan,

 

The new system is now up and running and we plan to put all of our client's on to this as soon as they are able and willing. We are sowly but surely finding our telco messaging costs rising as we see the system being used more and more for a myriad of different applications.

 

An anecdote states that one of our client's was able to manage a crisis which usually took days...

Does anybody know any calculations or percentages of salt loss due to leaching?

 

Any information on salt losses would be appreciated.
